Hi Greg,  Just had a nice 7 point trade.  Had a conservative profit target and stuck with it.  Will see if there is anymore to
be had.  The markets are surprisingly strong for this early before midnight.  May not be in the room depending on how late

At 3:50 PM EST the emini es went from a Normal Day to a Normal Variation Day type with shorting the close. Bonds went vertical and into a double distribution then a triple distribution up with longs only and just great trades with the Market Profile trading plan and the NinjaTrader Value Area.

The Normal Day Type is a rare day type easily seen by the trader. It will usually start with a wide Initial Balance often generated by some early news report which motivates part of the Medium and Long Term Traders to move the market balance in the direction indicated by the news reports as they interpret such news to infer a new direction for market balancing.
Such a directional surge will ultimately be shut down by a lack of conviction and participants willing to continue the market in that direction. This tends to create a single letter tail on the TPO chart as other Medium and Long Term Traders calculate prices to now be unfair based on their interpretation of the news, believe the market has peaked, enter and reverse the direction of the market. Prices will now retreat with that new segment of market participants in charge until prices bottom with a tail opposite the initial tail.
The result is to have a market with two-sided trading taking place with the price being auctioned back and forth between the opposing market participants. The news report precipitated first a fast move followed by a reactionary move in the market with excess on both sides of the Market Profile.

So far Mike and I are enjoying the room and learning a lot. Our progression has really started to pick up over the past week. Thank you for that. Mike and I will be pointing another CBOT trader your way shortly. He is not a part of our group but has been a friend and mentor to both of us throughout our trading careers.
